For this first week, we are featuring songs from the 1940's and 1950's. I have two double template packs for you. Keep reading to find out why I chose my songs for this week, and to get a closer look at my Iron Scrapper Weekly Collection Products!

I love 40's music, and I especially love this song because it's all about making a choice to be/live better. As the lyrics go: "Would you like to swing on a star . . . carry moonbeams home in a jar . . . and be better off than you are"; or you can choose to be a stubborn mule, a lazy and rude pig, or a deceptive fish, with all their negative character traits detailed. And hey, I'd much rather be swinging on a star than be part of the animal kingdom!

I chose "Summertime Blues" by Eddie Cochran from the 1950's. There's nothing like knowing that you're in school and summer is coming, only to find summer has arrived and you have no money nor a way to go do anything you want to do. It's frustrating but at the same time, it's summer so it's still fun. Summertime Blues reminds me of those days, where you are down and out, but you still are happy enough to sing about it!

Join us on Wednesday, July 8th at 10 PM EST for our Reveal Chat - Week 2. Cheryl of Fiddle-Dee-Dee Designs will give you the SCOOP on the Weekly Challenges and Products. You’ll also be able to watch Chelle of Chelle's Creations scrap a challenge layout using the coordinating Iron Scrapper products!

Don't forget to join our monthly challenges that are still going on during Iron Scrapper! Each challenge you participate in earns you points, and the more points you collect, the larger the discount coupon you can earn (up to 35%). Also, one randomly selected challenge participant will get their challenge layouts for the month printed at Persnickety Prints!
